SRI LANKA

Home

Sri Lanka is geographically placed to be the ideal commercial hub of Asia. In recent decades, the country has infused some of the world's firsts into its industries, especially in Information Communication Technology (ICT), Telecommunications and Banking and Financial Services. Currently, the highest non-traditional export earnings are from the apparel and textiles sector, while the traditional exports of tea, rubber and coconut continue to keep the country active in global commodity markets. Despite challenges in the macro environment, the GDP growth has shown progressive improvement and resilience, averaging above 6% in the last two (2) years, with expectations of increased growth.
